Pepper has avoided Tony at all costs today and ignored any messages he may have sent. She does not come to his lab, nor to any of his other haunts. She flits in and out of their bedroom only once that day, to deposit the following letter, which Tony will find, written by hand on her favorite stationary, on his pillow. She spends the night in an unused suite and sleeps fitfully.
